The bustling cathedral city of Truro is a city for all seasons and for all interests. From the flowing rivers to the picturesque Georgian streets, the 18th and 19th century town houses and the magnificent Victorian Cathedral there is something for everyone.
Truro derives its name from the Cornish Tri-veru, meaning three rivers, and developed as a tin port between the Truro River and the rivers Kenwyn and Allen.
Today the city is the centre for tourism, commerce and administration for the county of Cornwall and its unique past makes it very special.

Tash Not sure really @HousewifeSue, whenever we go we always seem to just grab a sandwich from Marks and Spencers. Having said that we did go to Pizza Express in Truro earlier this year... it was practically empty and the service was still incredibly slow :(

HousewifeSue Hello @Jedimaster, I hope you don't mind but I have added the Cornwall food and drink festival that is being held in !Truro to my Zub !Grub. I thought as it was food related it would be a good event to add. Have you ever been to it before?

Will I've been through !truro quite a few times as I have some friends who live in !Lostwithiel and !truro seems like nice place. What places are worth going to if I was to visit !truro for the day?

HousewifeSue The !Truro farmers market is worth going to, lots of fresh produce to choose from. I think it is on every wednesday and saturday. Get there early so you get the best choice.
