Welcome to Health
As the owner of Health...
I challenge you to get healthy to be able to act on life to the full.
Ok so health is a huge topic, but I’m going to break it down briefly. I believe you need to take a holistic attitude: aka looking at the person as a whole. Wellness is the encompassing of health (mental & physical), fitness and nutrition.
Why have things gone so wrong? The world’s health is at crisis point and rapidly worsening. The system can not cope with the boom of degenerative diseased suffers.
Long gone are the days when youth was synonymous with being fit and healthy. Hardening of the arteries has been found in kids as young as 12 years old. They have yet to reach adulthood and degenerative processes have already begun in their bodies.
So why not address the problem rather than masking it with medications, pain killers and coping strategies? Why do doctors continue to push people from pillar to post?
It is because “we do not have a health service, we have an aftercare service”. An endurance athlete and international speaker on health said this at a “fuelling your body for repair” talk I attended. Now that’s a quote worth repeating; “We do not have a health service, we have an aftercare service”. Understand this and you are on your way to taking charge of your own health.
Why spend so much money on searching for the cure for degenerative diseases when you can take real preventative action from having them develop in the first place? This is so obvious and logical yet our National Healthcare System does not think that way. Why earth not?! Prevention is so much simpler, more time effective and cheaper than treatment or the pursuit of ‘the cure’. So why is this education not being taught? Well who do you think has a huge agenda and funding to have a hold on the ‘health’ world? Do you think the pharmaceutical companies want people to be healthy? I’d imagine they want people to be ill so they can sell them medication. For me it’s as cold and straightforward as that.
Stand against it and take charge for your own health. Be pro-active about getting and staying healthy, don't wait to get ill and buy into medication. Even if you're prone to a hereditary disease or condition you do not have to resign yourself to it, act now.
Nutrition is the key. People overlook it. I used to think I could eat what I liked and I’d just do more exercise to make up for it. This is not the case. In fact you are damaging your health further with an abundance of free radicals. The human body is the most sophisticated, unbelievable ‘machine’ out there. Fuel it right and it has all it needs to keep a good immune system, repair itself and renew all of its cells; you don’t have to live with the bad ones. Achieving good health form many people can be as simple as consuming enough fruits and vegetables; which contain anti-oxidants that no scientist could ever replicate.
People think if you eat 5 day you’re doing great. Well it is not enough to cope with the other factors we face such as pollution, stress, toxins and of course the poor quality of products available.
Japan has the longest life expectancy and most importantly the longest healthy life expectancy, and it’s not to do with genes. Japanese who relocate and take on the Westerner’s diet and lifestyle take on that countries life expectancy. So why are Japan’s residents so healthy? Well it’s because they are eat the most amount of fruit and vegetables; with a lot of it being raw too.
“Fruit and vegetables are important components of a healthy diet, and their sufficient daily consumption could help prevent major diseases, such as cardiovascular diseases and certain cancers. Overall, it is estimated that up to 2.7 million lives could potentially be saved each year if fruit and vegetable consumption were sufficiently increased”
World Health Organisation
So don’t be a pawn in our so called ‘health’ services’ game of profit, gain the knowledge to get healthy and spread it on!
Take away from this that a health revolution is happening and it’s a truly exciting time, not all doom and gloom like the media try to portray; but we need to get back to basics. I’ve got myself connected with the some of the top people in the industry and to the latest research, and now you can be too.

Charli My evening meal is my main meal of the day and I have to say I struggle not to base it around carbs, I find it hard to think of evening meals that will satisfy me without involving them...

Chloe For anyone who doesn’t know why it’s good to eat less in the evening: Not eating a big dinner in the evening is important for people who’s activity level drops in the evening – chilling out, sofa based then go to sleep. It’s not necessarily about calorie intake in total, but about taking them mostly in one go, and at the wrong time. There is a statistic that's says: people who are going to have a heart attack often have it at 12am (think that's the time, will have to check that)– but it's basically because they have had a large meal at night and this "certain number of hours later" is when their arteries clog up, made worse because they are not moving.
Eating a large meal in the evening can also effect your sleep – as your body is digesting all of that food and so it is not resting – and slows your metabolism.
People who don’t eat much during the day, or people who snack, and then have a large meal in the evening condition their bodies to have lower energy during the day and a lower metabolism. People who usually do exercise in the evening, and have a more office-based job during the day, shouldn't really skimp on evening food as they need that for exertion. Wholemeal, brown, organic carbs – grains are good with high nutrient organic vegetables that are lightly steamed or super-fast stir fried (to try and hang onto as many nutrients and enzymes as possible), with a bit of protein. Maybe think about portion sizes too – just cut down the amount of carbs and replace that with more vegetables/salad.
Hope this helps
