DannySalter I've got very happy memories of my honeymoon on the Isle of Arran! Really wonderful little island. I think I'm right in saying that Lochranza is the really quiet part of the island, with the distillery?

Smales That's right Danny. On the other side of the island, you have Brodick which is the main town and tourist spot, but Lochranza is the quiet, epic landscape situated on the most beautiful part of the island.
It's well known for it's famous Distillery, home of the legendary Arran malt!
TonyJervis You can't beat the Arran malt!
My girlfriend and I visited the Distillery a couple of years ago, and were given a fascinating tour on how the whisky is produced.....and the tour was rounded off with a 'wee dram' of the Arran malt itself.
Of course, you then end up buying about twenty bottles of the stuff from the gift shop on the way out....
