localtom Tickets are selling fast for extravaganza to honour Tommy Hudson, the little boy who tragically died on January 5 and an inquest heard that, while playing in the garden at his Burys Bank Road home in Newbury, he had climbed under a fence and fell into the pond at a neighbouring property.
Balcony steats are still available for the extraordinary show on Sunday, October 17, in memory of a “bright, loving little boy.”
The event to be held at Newbury Corn Exchange features a wealth of local talent plus a raffle and auction.
The Concert for Tommy begins at 3.30pm.
Tickets, priced £6.50, are available from the box office on (01635) 522 733.

localtom For as long as I live I will never understand why anyone would attack a 71-yo pensioner and rob them of £60. Yesterday evening a 71-yo man was walking down Cromwell Road when he was approached by three young white men who were wearing hooded tops.
He was then allegedly punched in the stomach and had £60 stolen from his pocket. Very sad.

localtom Fancy a good day out this Saturday? The 7th Real Ale Festival is being held at Northcroft Park. The festival has quickly become a great annual event and the organisers are looking forward to improve on the previous, record-breaking, years. There will be over 150 ales, ciders and perrys and the challenge will be to try as many as possible! Entry £5 and you can pay there.
