Welcome to Portishead
As the owner of Portishead...
Portishead (pronounced /pɔːtɪsˈhɛd/) is a coastal town in North Somerset, England, with a population of 22,000: an increase of over 3,000 since the figure of 17,130 recorded in the 2001 census.
Portishead has a long history as a fishing port and expanded rapidly during the early 19th century around the docks. A power station and chemical works were added in the 20th century, but the dock and industrial facilities have since declined, being redeveloped into a marina and residential areas. The population is now expanding and it is primarily a dormitory town for Bristol and its environs.
Carol Vorderman lives nearby, and Eddie Large is often seen at the local gym. Helen from Big Brother was living here at one point, but who knows. There was a rumour that Johnny Depp was spotted in Portishead Waitrose a year or two back.
