As an owner (Zubber) of a place (Zub) you can use your page to make announcements, promote yourself or your business, catch up on local news and gossip, post photos, make new friends, network or share top tips about places to eat, things to see and the latest events.

How do I buy a Zub?

On the Homepage above the Google Map is a text box that says: "Start typing the name of a city or town..." Type the name of the city, village or town that you wish to buy and click on the red "Find" button to the right hand side. The location will then appear on the map with a red drawing pin on it, and a window will appear with the name of your location, the country flag and a green "Buy" button. If the Zub is already sold it will have a red "Visit" button. Click on the green button to purchase the Zub. Follow the on screen payment instructions.

Alternatively, if you are unsure of the spelling of your location but know where it is on the map, hover your mouse over the map and double click to zoom in on your destination. When you have reached your desired location, hover the mouse over it and a window will appear with the name of your location, the country flag and a green "Buy" button. Click on the green button to purchase the Zub. Follow the on-screen payment instructions.

How long will I own a Zub for?

The good news it that once you have purchased a Zub it remains yours for life. There are no annual charges, no commissions and no rent to pay for the life duration of the website.

However beware! To avoid people abusing our online community, if you fail to add any content within 6 months on your Zub, we reserve the right to reclaim. Full terms can be found here.

How many Zubs can I buy?

We want to attract Zubbers who are passionate about their Zubs and want to spend time updating them and sharing tips, events and news. We don't want cyber-squatter types buying thousands of Zubs that mean nothing to them which is why we only let you buy three Zubs on your first checkout, and each week thereafter you become eligible to purchase one additional Zub. This will become extremely exciting and also competitive to see who owns the world's best places portfolio!

I can't find the Zub I want, what do I do?

There are over 3.2 million places listed on Zubworld .com. Our aim is to have every town, city, hamlet and village throughout the world listed at the earliest opportunity. If you can't find your Zub right now, please get in touch with the team at Zub central by clicking here. We will verify the location and confirm if we are able to add this to our site asap. Look forward to hearing from you.

The Zub I want has already been sold, what can I do?

Sorry but it's first come first served in Zubworld ! Right now there is a media frenzy surrounding the site and everyone is snapping up their favourite places. But don't worry: the team is always releasing new places that could be relevant to you, like suburbs and points of interest, so make sure you register for further information and be sure to follow any key places of interest. There's even talk of underwater sites for Phase 2! Imagine owning the Great Barrier Reef! Now is the time to get creative and think of another "must have" Zub before anyone else gets there first. What's a lucky dip?

Lucky dip is one of our most addictive features! Click on the blue "Lucky Dip" button on the Homepage and a question will appear, e.g.Where was your first kiss? What's your favourite holiday destination? Where did you go to school? A random geographical location will then appear on the map to help give you some inspiration - either select the Lucky dip location on the map and find out about a new place, or answer the question and find your location.

How do I follow a Zub?

To follow a Zub, locate your Zub by either searching for it in the Google Maps text box or the green "Recently purchased Zubs" menu on the bottom left-hand side of the Homepage. Click on the Zub to go to the Zub's Homepage. Click the red "Follow this Zub" button on the right-hand side. This Zub will then automatically be added to your

"Zubs you are following" page.

Do I have to buy a place to follow a Zub?

No, you can register and follow as many places as you like. By registering you can add content and review any site you are following, or make friends and network.

How do I edit my Zub/change background/add photos/add events and see my followers?

To edit Zub details. Add web address and welcome text in the text boxes provided. To add a Welcome Picture click on the "Browse" button and select the photo you wish from your desktop.

To change Zub background. Click on the red "Change Zub background" text on the left-hand side. To edit the background choose from one of the two images provided or upload your own personal image using the "Browse" button.

To add photos. Click the red "Photos" option under 'Zub Sections'. On the right-hand side you will notice an "Add photos" option. Click on this and add an Album Title and Description for your photos. Click "Proceed to Upload" photos. Locate your photos using the "Browse" buttons and then press the red "Upload" button to upload them onto your Zub.

To add an event. Click the red "Events" link under 'Zub Sections' and click on the grey "Add an event" button on the right-hand side. You will then be given the option to add event details, a map, start times, costs, web addresses and pictures. When you are happy with all the information, press the red "Add event" button at the bottom of the screen.

To see your followers. Click the red "Followers" link under 'Zub Sections'. Here you will see details of all Zubbers who are following your Zub.

To share your Zub. Click the red "Share" link under 'Zub Sections'. This gives you options to Email your friends; Invite via Facebook; Post to Twitter and Publish to Facebook. Simply click on the link you wish and follow the instructions. Alternatively, if you wish to email friends and colleagues manually add their email addresses in the "Friends' email addresses" box and add a personal message in the "Message for your friends" box. Press "Send".

How do I promote my Zub?

The key is to make your Zub as fun, informative and engaging as possible. Good quality content, lots of informative and inspiring pictures, and lists of upcoming events and things to do and see, will make your Zub a really useful reference tool for fellow Zubbers. Don't forget the chat area where you can post your comments and start to network with other Zubbers.

You may want to seek out new friends within the same geographical area and let them know about your Zub. The more followers your Zub has, the more visible it will be at a higher level on the map (see below).

How can I check the status of my Zub?

The icon/picture next to the name of your Zub informs you and your fellow Zubbers of the Zub's status. The status of your Zub will change when more people follow it.

There are nine status levels, each with their own picture, which will appear by the name of your Zub and change automatically when the number of people following your Zub increases i.e. if you have 0-1 followers you have 'Camp' status; 25 - 99 followers is 'Hamlet' status; 500 - 999 followers is 'Colony' status rising to 'Ultimate Zub' status with 1,000,000+ followers.

To us, the whole Zub community is massively important and we will strive to give you all an excellent user experience, whether you own 0, 100 or 10,000 Zubs.
